Round up some of your wood scraps and turn them into the cutest rustic houses. Perfect for festive decor, both at Christmas and Halloween. Heck, all year round!

I saw similar houses at a local shop. Our fireplace mantel off-cut immediately came to mind as the perfect piece of wood to get the rustic reclaimed look.

I chopped it up into five little houses. Added chimneys to a few, painted and stained them, and added some windows and doors. Now they sit pretty grouped in two of our bedrooms.

I love the imperfect vibe. Festive, but neutral – just how I like it!
